You can learn to feel better/think more positively and in turn live a more rewarding life/lifestyle, just as you have learned to feel negative, worthless, angry, depressed... I can help you through proven tools/strategies to live the life that you had long wished for. I use CBT and Solution-focused intervention from an anti-oppressive, culturally-sensitive and positive/strength-based framework of intervention.
I am an expert in providing substance abuse, children/teens, and couple's counselling. I have over 20 years of experience working with 6-96 y.o. suffering from suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-esteem, grief/loss, parenting, separation/divorce, trauma, violence and also do Critical Incident Debriefings. Counselling fees are not covered by OHIP, but can be covered through your employer's EAP coverage, or extended work benefits, or WSIB if issues are work-related. If you do not have benefits, I can offer a sliding scale, which will be assessed prior to the initial counselling session.
