Afternoon tea is offered in the Avenue bar and lounge. The room is quiet but there is a certain ambience missing. What is lacking in the space is certainly not lacking in the food. Each guest selects a tea from a varied assortment of teas ranging from the typical Earl Grey to the exotic flowering Watermelon. Each table gets a tray with an assortment of finger sandwiches, pastries and scones. The scones come warm from the oven and patted with clotted cream and jam melt in your mouth. The pastry chef is a genius with the Bavarian Tart. Tea will set you back a pretty penny, over $75 for two. But it is an experience one shouldn't miss!
