Welcome to Riehl Music Studio! Eugena Riehl holds a Ph.d. in music theory and an M.M. in flute performance from the University at Buffalo as well as both a B.A. and M.A. in music from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds an ARCT Flute Performer’s Diploma, and ARCT Flute Teacher’s Diploma from The Royal Conservatory of Music, where she is currently an active member of the College of Examiners.
Eugena performs regularly as a soloist and was the founding conductor of the Oxford Winds Community Concert Band and the Oxford Breeze Novice Band. In 2011, she recorded on flute with the band “Reign of Kindo” in Maria’s aria from the “Final Fantasy” video game. This recording was runner-up at the International Video Game Music Awards in Tokyo, Japan. A member of the Canadian Music Festival Adjudicators Association, she regularly adjudicates band and instrumental music festivals across Canada. Eugena is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association and has had a private studio for over 35 years teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, recorder, piano, and music theory. She currently teaches in her private studio in Woodstock, Ontario.
