Dr. Moon Choi, BSc. MSc, ND is the director of MC clinic and a skin scientist. He welcomes patients from Greater Vancouver area as well as other provinces and abroad. He is dedicated to providing his patients with cutting-edge techniques and truly personalized treatments carefully researched in terms of their safety and efficacy. Dr. Choi is a physician trainer and clinical consultant for two cosmetic laser companies, LaserOptek and Scarlet USA. He is a lead clinical researcher for Enskin, an American cosmetic pharmaceutical company specializing in human growth factors therapy for wound repair and skin tissue regeneration. He is one of five members of syndicated aesthetic medicine working group, consisting of two dermatologists, two cutaneous surgeon and Dr. Choi. He is a licentiate of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia. His clinical and research experience coupled with ongoing commitment to quality patient care has allowed him to develop unique treatment protocols that provide consistent results and impressive safety. Dr. Choi received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the University of Bridgeport. He completed his internship at the Yale-Griffin Hospital and University of Bridgeport Medical Center. During this time, he received clinical training in nutrition, weight control, and the prevention of chronic disease by internationally renowned scholar, Dr. David Katz MD, MPH of Yale Univeristy School of Medicine. For two years, he completed his internship at Yale University Prevention Research Center, conducting clinical trials in weight loss and diabetes. Dr. Choi has earned multiple commendations including ‘Excellence in Clinical Research’ awarded by the Yale University Prevention Research Center. He is expertly trained in judicious use of food-derived medicinal substances as well as prescription pharmaceuticals, and a large repertoire of aesthetic procedures to optimize the care of his patients. His practice focuses on minor cutaneous procedures and treatments including scar corrections, melasma, and anti-aging treatments. He lectures internationally on a number of laser skin procedures and techniques.
