We offer warm and comfortable surroundings so you can enjoy a cold beverage and a fine meal. Our ocean side marine pub offers magnificent ocean and mountain views. The dining ambiance is pleasantly casual and intimate, with seating available in a charming interior setting or enjoy the fresh ocean air in our heated outdoor patio.
Here at the Riptide, we are community minded and health conscious. Our focus is to present the finest cuisine and support local organic food producers. We are proud to choose non-trans-fat oils and use healthy cooking methods. All our fish is caught locally and our shellfish locally raised.

I go to the Riptide pub once every couple of months with my girlfriend. The staff are very friendly and solicitous, and we are always asked for our drink order within two minutes of sitting down. The last time we went, I ordered the sushi special, and found it a bit gummy and unpalatable, but that is the only downside I've ever experienced there. Their yam fries with aioli are a great sharing appy, and a majority of the menu sources local, fresh ingredients. The drinks are big and reasonably priced. The fire pit in the middle of the room makes the environment cozy, while the wall of windows provides a lovely view of the harbour, the strait and Quadra Island. Definitely a great place to eat, whether you're local or just visiting.
