Ontario Drug & Alcohol Registry of Treatment

Description

The Drug & Alcohol Registry of Treatment (DART) is a ConnexOntario Health Services Information program, funded by the Ontario Ministry of health and Long-Term Care. DART is a toll-free, province-wide treatment and referral service that is available to professionals and the public, linking callers to treatment programs suited to their needs. It also provides up-to-date status reports on the availability of a wide range of drug and alcohol treatment options, descriptions of the type of treatment services and referral and admission procedures. DART staff members search a regularly updated computerized database of 187 alcohol and/or drug treatment organizations offering more than 1,200 programs. DART also contributes statistical data to the development of public policy and strategic planning concerning treatment on a provincial, regional or local basis.
