The owner of Pristine Piano Care has been fully trained in piano tuning, repair, and rebuilding/restoration at the George Brown College F/T 2 year Piano Technicians Program in 1985. Under expert tutalage, the best repair/restoration methods were taught along with testing of aural tuning accuracy within 1/2 cent (1/200th of a semitone). The present tuning regimen now uses a combination of the highest state of the art ETD as a tool alongside of the aural tuning tweaks that result in both a properly matched stretch for your pianos inharmonicity, crystal clear unisons, and a piano that is set to proper concert pitch when finished. Your piano was designed and built with these parameters in mind, don't settle for less. On highly neglected pianos that have not been tuned in more than a few years, the ETD is indispensable at compensating for multiple tuning passes needed to bring it up to pitch. Quite often only one rough pitch raise pass is needed on these pianos with this aid. The time and labour costs associated with this is passed on to the consumer.
