Various species of wood and detailing can be incorporated into the design to add character and uniqueness to your home Structural Insulated Panels Also known as SIPs , timberframers and homeowners have made the structural insulated panel systems the preferred method of closing in a timberframe home. The panels are placed on the outside of the timber frame to expose the entire frame on the interior. This also creates an uninterrupted blanket around the entire structure, a very efficient insulating system. The frame can be covered in panels in a matter of days.
