My name is Anna, and for the last 5 years, I run Baby Blossom Daycare from my Hamilton Mountain home. I am an RECE (graduated in 2000), and after having my first daughter, I decided to stay home and offer childcare for other families. I was an assistant supervisor in a large daycare for years; however, being my own boss and providing quality care from my home to deserving children is much more rewarding! I work from the entire house (living room, play room and kitchen) and the backyard for outdoor play. Baby Blossom Daycare offers a loving, supportive, and positive learning experience for all ages. Parents are provided a peace of mind that their child is receiving optimal care in a healthy, safe 'home' like environment, while being exposed to stimulating experiences! Parents receive daily write ups about their child’s important day, allowing them to stay connected with their child's entire daycare experience and not missing a second of their childhood! We start our daily routine with a healthy snack, followed by calendar and group circle time. I have 52 themes a year-1 theme each week that the children learn from. They have creative time - theme related- and twice a month our friend (and art teacher/youth worker graduate) Amanda comes to join us and teach us about Art and artistic techniques! Art is a lost subject in school but develops a child’s self esteem and other major skill they will need later on in life to succeed! We have 2 hours of outside time (or more) each day- and the kids enjoy a variety of large motor activities which are all located in the fenced backyard. After outside time, the kids sit down to a home cooked meal! I provide a weekly/monthly menu for the parents to follow, so that they are aware of what the children are eating on a daily basis. After lunch, we brush our teeth and then its quiet time! The younger children sleep on their daycare cots, and the older children rest with quiet books, puzzles and colouring- and some theme related DVDs- but most children would rather play they don’t sit through the videos. With 11 years experience, and after having 2 of my own girls, your child will definitely be taken care of in his/her new home daycare. Each child receives the individual attention that they deserve, learning in the process and not getting lost in the shuffle like at the large daycares. We attend field trips, have 'fun' days and enjoy our childhood to the fullest! I have LOTS of references to give you, as well as an information package for you to read over with some more information and my philosophies! (Which I can email you at your convenience) We do have a dog (golden doodle- because i have severe animal allergies!!) named Bailey! She is an amazing little Puppy. She is gentle, calm and has the best temperament. Bailey loves the kids so much and the kids love her!! 18 months and up please- all the children sleep on cots.I have one part time spot available! 9:30am-2:30pm- perfect for a stay at home mom to free up a few hours to do running around each week or just to socialize your child before they start school! Yearly tax receipt is handed out in the New Year to parents for daycare fees.
