Each client’s needs are tailor-made from accommodations, terminal gear, to on-stream instruction. Let us know what your needs are when you book your Charter.
Your day starts out with a smile & a handshake from your guide who will introduce himself. We will get started at approximately 8 a.m. With pickup from your hotel, residence, or pre-determined meeting place. Then it’s off to the boat launch. A full day on the Bow River will consist of “Bombing the Banks” with Streamers “Mending Line” with Nymphs & Strike Indicators Strategic Presentation of Dry Flies to Rising Trout Every opportunity to stop & fish the numerous “Riffles, Runs & Back Channels” will be made leading into dusk or as long as the client requests. Rain or shine, we are ready, willing & able. Lunch is provided and can be tailored to each client’s dietary demands or allergic concerns. Non-alcoholic beverages & healthy snacks are also provided throughout the day. Our Fly-Fishing Season Early Spring fishing in April-May can be booked as there is an excellent opportunity for some large Trout to be caught as they begin to move out of wintering holds. Spring run-off from the mountain snow melt starts in late May and usually lasts until the 2nd. – 3rd. week of June. If the river conditions are favorable during this time we will be on the river. Our prime fly-fishing season on the Bow River begins in late June and runs through late October weather permitting. What to Bring Digital Camera Sunscreen Hat Sunglasses Foul Weather Gear / Fleece Jacket – You never know when Mother Nature can get ugly! Waders & Felt Sole Boots Insect Repellent Sandals / Summertime water and air temperatures can make waders hot! Alberta Angling License / WIN Card (These can be arranged on the day of your fishing charter) If you forget some of these items we carry extra accessories in our drift boat.
