OUR STAFF: Pamela Hansen The owner/operator of Hair and Body Centre, a full service hair, esthetics, massage and training facility located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. She is a Master Instructor of hair, esthetics and nail technology and holds a Red Seal designation in her industry. She is a member of the Master Judges Program in support of the Allied Beauty Association where she utilizes her experience and technical skills to coach and mentor learners for competition. Pamela currently holds the position of 1st Vice President on the Board for the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia (CANS), as well as one of the key members of the Human Resources Committee. Pamela has extensive knowledge in the Cosmetology industry with over 16 years experience in various platforms. She is a successful business woman, valued team member and sought after Master Instructor. Honesty, integrity and self-discipline has provided the pathway for Pamela to reach her goals of owning and operating a Private Career College. Christena Dykstra The newest addition to our Hair and Body team, working as a Registered Massage Therapist. Christena graduated from Northumberland College in 2010 and is an active member of the Massage Therapist Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS). During her studies she participated in various clinical settings, working with athletic injuries, Neurological conditions, Multiple Sclerosis and Diabetes. Christena is trained for Myofascial Release, Kinesio Tex Taping, Aromatherapy, Relaxation, Pregnancy, Deep Tissue and Hot Stone Massage.She has experience dealing with sports injuries and rehabilitation. Having been an athlete herself she knows the benefits of massage therapy when it comes time for the healing process. She is active in the sports community for both coaching and training and has extensive knowledge in home care planning and rehabilitation. She believes that in order to be at your best, you must feel your best. Her knowledge is not limited just to the sports scene, she provides a variety of treatments for both relaxation and therapeutic outcomes. She is eager to further her career and knowledge to provide her clients with the focus and care they deserve.
