Half Moon Drive Inn

Driving out to Lockport for a ‘Moon Dog’ (bacon, cheese, pickles, fried onions & mustard) with a side order of delicious homemade fries is somewhat of a family tradition. The portions are large so you won’t go away hungry. If you have managed to save a little room however, be sure to check out the ice cream counter. There is a Hugh variety of ice cream and ice cream treats to choose from. The atmosphere here is reminiscent of an old fashioned 50’s diner with an outdoor order window, bright red booths, old-style tables and classic music videos playing. If you don’t want to eat indoors though, no problem, there is a beautiful riverside eating area out back with lots of picnic tables and a nice view of the river. This place can get busy, so you may have to wait in line before getting served but the service is pretty quick; they have a large staff. The restaurant is always clean, the condiment counter filled and the prices are average. A fun little get-away from the city on a Sunday afternoon.
