During the summer, Fort Gibraltar is a popular tourist site in Winnipeg with a living history with interactive and educational tours that allow visitors to learn more about the era of the fur trade museum. Our costumed interpreters will show the daily life of the inhabitants of the site in 1815 through primary sites such as the high post, forging and wintering hut. In February, this historic place is the heart of the celebrations of the biggest festival in Western Canada, the Festival du Voyageur.

I cannot say enough good things about Fort Gibraltar! It was the perfect vendor. Angie and Connie were fabulous. They both well beyond anything I could ask for. The food was excellent, the bartenders were unreal, the serving staff were efficient and polite and the decor was absolutely stunning! The crew even kept an eye on all the candles and kept them lit from 4:00 to 1:00 am. I was an out of town bride and every bit of planning via email and phone went smoothly. My outdoor ceremony was rained out but Connie threw together the most beautiful ceremony upstairs in the Maison for us. You will not be disappointed if you choose The Fort! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
