However, with a surprising array of fine china and porcelain, the store is much more than simply a tea emporium. Two of the featured lines at Cindy’s are the World Renowned Franz Porcelain line and Lomonosov Russian Imperial Handpainted China dinnerware. Franz Porcelain debuted in 2002 as the brainchild of Francis Chen, an artist and businessman who saw it as a way to revive the Chinese porcelain art. Inspired by a love of nature, Franz Porcelain combines delicate butterflies, fragile flowers, whimsical animals, and other motifs that successfully and uniquely combine traditional Chinese character with classic Art Nouveau designs. Each creation is a true work of art and is sure to be treasured as a purchase or a gift. Lomonosov Russian Imperial Hand Painted China Dinnerware dates back to the founding of The Lomonosov (Imperial) Porcelain Factory in Saint-Petersburg in 1744. Each distinctive piece is still hand painted and finished in 24 karat gold.
