Throughout its 70+ years, Baskin-Robbins has not only become an innovative and high quality ice cream treat destination, but a place for families to gather for holidays and everyday celebrations.
The story began with two brothers-in-law, Burton "Burt" Baskin and Irvine "Irv" Robbins' mutual love of good, old-fashioned ice cream and a desire to give customers a heaping scoop of flavor and fun. Burt and Irv strongly believed people should have choice, so they offered 31 flavors - one for every day of the month. And they believed people should be able to try any flavor without cost - a belief that led to the iconic pink spoons. Their ideals live on at Baskin-Robbins, where we now possess a flavor library that consists of close to 2000 ice cream recipes.
