Where there is Chinese, there is embraced Chinese culinary culture. That’s exactly what Ken Leung, owner and Executive Chef of Ken’s Chinese Restaurant embarked on when he opened the restaurant on Fraser Street in Vancouver back in 2001.
It did not take long for Ken’s to see the need of expansion due to constant line-ups, so they moved, twice, first to Main and E. 12, and then to a prime location off Kingsway in 2007, where Ken and his kitchen team continue to woo the dining public with traditional Chinese cooking; seasonal seafood creations; Hong Kong style café tapas, plus innovative Western dishes that keep even non-Chinese diners coming back for more.
There are many popular dishes at Ken’s, but it is Chef Leung’s ‘Golden Dungeness Crab’ that impressed the panel of judges of the Chinese Restaurant Awards 2009 and earned Ken’s the coveted Signature Dish – Crab Award.
