Jordana H. Goldlist began her legal career as a civil litigator, focused on corporate commercial disputes, including fraud, misappropriation of funds, and breach of trust claims. She articled and worked as an associate at Landy Marr Kats LLP, a small firm of dedicated lawyers that allowed her take lead on substantial steps in various proceedings. As a second year associate, Jordana had carriage of her own files and was accountable to the clients she represented. Jordana learned how to negotiate the best results, as quickly as possible, and in the most efficient fashion. Civil litigation taught her to strategize, but her passion kept steering her towards criminal law. In 2010, Jordana made the leap and joined Edward H. Royle & Associates in what was then a new firm of only four associates. Together with her team, Jordana worked hard to deliver unparalleled results. She was handed her first criminal case on day three: a client charged with importing half a kilogram of cocaine into Canada. Jordana represented her client throughout the proceeding, including a week long trial in Superior Court. Since then, she has been defending clients charged with a range of offences. Continuing her prominent rise within the field of criminal law, Jordana H. Goldlist decided to challenge herself again, venturing out in February 2015 to practice on her own as JHG Criminal Law. As always, Jordana ensures that her clients receive the best defence possible, from the bail hearing to trial.
