Truro Heights Baptist Church

My child was going to the "Youth Group" with Pastor Jason Burke. After some time, I noticed my child began to exhibit avoidance behavior in regards to the church and it's groups. Eventually my child explained to me that Mr. Burke had been talking to other children in the group and was telling them my child is a "bad influence". My child is a straight A student, and loves science, therefore questions everything.My husband contacted Mr. Burke who explained he had "no issues" with my child, but when we confronted him with what we heard he was immediately angry and defensive, and obviously lacking communication skills. Eventually after defending his actions he told us the conversation is "over". Mr Burke feels right talking to children in this manner, and now my child feels very ostracized. My 'on the fence' regarding Christianity child is now looking into a more welcoming faith.
