Description

The Cheltenham General Store is a small country shop located in the scenic village of Cheltenham, Ontario. This historic, stone structure was built in 1887 by Fred Haines after a large fire tore through downtown Cheltenham destroying the main businesses. Careful to retain its unique charm, the Judge family purchased and renovated the store in August 2008 creating a site for local patrons and tourists alike to enjoy the convenience of multiple services in one place. The Cheltenham Store supplies every day household staples (food, beverages, condiments, candy, toiletries etc) for quick, easy access. OR, stay a little longer and relax in the store’s quaint cafe overlooking the Credit River, which promises to be a relaxing experience.

This is such a cute little country store! They have pretty much anything you could want. There are the typical drinks, chips, and candy, but beyond that there is also fresh scopped ice cream to order. It's delicious and an excellent price! They also make AWESOME deli sandwiches fresh when you order. There's a quaint little seating area in the back of the store, or a little patio out back. They also sell a local farmers beef in the freezer section. Beyond all that, the one side of the store is a gift section. Cute little trinkets can be bought there, as well as some photo frames, clothing, wall hangings. All sorts of gifty things. All and all it is an excellent place to visit!
