J B Kelly Insurance Broker Ltd was founded by Beaumont (J B) Kelly on May 15, 1942. From our beginning in Athens we have enjoyed a steady growth over the years. Mr. Kelly retired in 1975, selling the business to Marson Smith. We opened our branch office in Brockville in 1980 and watched it grow into a busy, productive office. In March 2003, we merged both offices into one office in Kensington Plaza, Brockville. The managing partners are now Mary Rae Knapp and Pamela Kirkpatrick. Marson Smith remains an active participant on the Board of Directors.
Our firm is registered as a licensed insurance brokerage with the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO). We act as an intermediary between the consumer (our insured) and the insurer (insurance company accepting the risk). Our office feels the strength of our customer relationships has been built on a foundation of good public relations, ethical practices, excellent staff, unfailing courtesy and a sincere attitude of helpfulness.
