This shop is nice. Having just returned from a trip to Europe, I have to say it's nice to experience an actual grocer and this is one. Their produce is beautiful, fresh, and ripe. Their eggs are free-run, and the least expensive ones you're likely to come across in Ottawa (even more so if you bring your own carton). The staff is friendly, and if you ask the right ones they can tell you more than you ever imagined about the various goods available. All in all, it's worth it if you can afford it. Their signature sandwich the "Cosa Nostra," is the most amazing sandwich I have ever had. It's made with chicken breast, prosciutto, sliced red tomatoes, and shredded smoked provolone cheese sandwiched between two slices of Focaccia that have been covered in a lemon-thyme aioli. It's about $7.50, and it's served hot pressed from a panini grill. If I lived closer I might never eat anything else. Just make sure they've heated it long enough or the sandwich you receive won't taste nearly as amazing as it should.
