Friends In Our Kitchen

While I was working on my undergraduate degree at the UofGuelph I discovered this restaurant with some friends of mine. On a regular basis we went to this small, family run, high calibre restaurant particularly for their vegetarian spring rolls (these are each about 5" long and 1.5 - 2 inches in diameter...you only NEED 1, but you'll want more), and the grilled squid. This isn't any run of the mill grilled squid rings, it's slicked open and laid flat on the plate with a soy type sauce, wasabi and grilled peppers...just describing it makes me drool. The menu is unique and features fabulous original creations made in the open-concept kitchen.The prices are reasonable, for my standard spring roll, grilled squid and a coffee, I wouldn't have to spend more than $20 and would be well satisfied. The entrees will run you a bit more, into the low $20's per item, but well worth it. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
