Alliance Church

After entering the church and being greeted by the welcomer very few people introduced themselves, the groups of people and how they stayed together suggested exclusive cliques. The service itself started with popular christian music but quickly changed to the pastors own songs, some only in his name because of changes he made with no reference to the original writers. After the announcements the sermon was short and contained very few quoted scripture, instead the sermon was based on the pastors experiences and personal interpretation of what a small part of scripture seemed to say. After the sermon there was yet another long session of music with no hymns or theme connection to the sermon. When the service was over the church members would get up and get into groups again while the pastor continued to lead the worship team in more music, even after the pastor made no effort to see if there were no new people in the crowed to welcome them. I left feeling unwelcomed and no more connected to God.
