I have been teaching for 30 years now in various capacities. My experiences range from private tutoring, to classroom teacher, to music specialist, to literacy support and ELL teacher.
I have taught in Ontario, British Columbia, and now Alberta. I have worked in private and public school settings and have a proven track record as a teacher who knows how to help students see results. My personalized approach to tutoring ensures that students get what they need when they need it. The purpose of "Steps to Learning" is to provide a personalized tutorial experience, away from distractions, for students who may be struggling, who want to keep on top of their homework load, or want to improve their grades. Tutorials cover the core subject areas (reading, writing, and math), ELL, homework help, staying organized, test preparation, study habits, and even how to ace that latest project. Students meet twice a week and a program is developed, in consultation with parents and classroom teachers, that will meet individual needs.
