We’re often asked “how much do your cakes cost?” Before we can provide a specific price, we need some basic information from you! How many guests will be eating the cake? Will the cake be covered in butter cream or fondant? Is there a printed image or are there added decorations? Is there an additional filling (ie. fruit or caramel). This is the kind of information we need before we can provide a specific price. To help you when you're planning, here are some general guidelines: Traditional butter cream cakes, in either chocolate or vanilla, start at $2.50 per serving. This includes butter cream flowers and trim in whatever colors you choose, or chocolate decorations, as well as your message. If you’re looking at a fondant covered cake, our prices start at $3.50 per serving, depending on the amount of detail and hand-shaping required. Shaped cakes, such as designer bags, start at $5.00 per serving and must be a minimum size to allow for accurate shaping. Birthday cakes and orders of six cupcakes or more are NOT taxable. Because every cake is custom made at Lina's custom cakes, it’s prepared to your specification – colors, flavors, shapes and sizes – the sky is the limit. We encourage you to bring us photos and ideas for inspirations– they’re very helpful as guidelines. Keep in mind that each cake is handcrafted – working with cake, butter cream and fondant is an art, so obtaining an exact match to a photo is not always possible. Also note that before your order can be confirmed, a non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place on our production schedule. We also encourage you to contact us as early as you can so that we can accommodate as many requests as possible.
