Chef Angel has one goal, to change the misconceptions of Cuban Food to Canadians. To turn every hotel horror story of bland food into a flavour explosion in your mouth ! To experience a real taste of Cuba, its culture and history through his passion and love for cooking food.
With over 15 years’ experience in the Culinary Arts, a Habanero himself, Chef Angel still finds himself as passionate as when he first started.
At his mother's side from a young age, watching and helping her in the kitchen as she owned her own business selling baked goods for local events and at the beach is where his passion and love for food began.
After formalizing his training and graduating, with hard work and dedication to his craft he was able to advance in working in some of Cuba's most reputable 5 star hotels and the top restaurants, such as La Bodeguita Del Medio where he was trained and worked for many years, Restaurante Vicaria and Hotel Habana Libre. He has also had the pleasure of cooking for many Cuban Baseball players and celebrities such as Jean-Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Carlos Delgado, Iker Casillas and Icer Cassia just to name a few!
