Description

Traditional Thai Massage has been Francine's passion since 1998. She practices it from a deep heart space and with great respect to all the ancestors and teachers who have passed this ancient wisdom on to her. She wishes to keep this practice aligned with the source, in its purest, most authentic form.
It is her hope to use this ancient holistic therapy to promote wellness and vitality by helping your body, mind and soul return to a state of balance, harmony, flexibility and health. With 17 years of practice, 10 years of teaching Thai Massage, over 800 hours of Thai Massage training and over 4000 hours of recorded practice, she is one of the highest qualified Traditional Thai Massage practitioners in Canada. Course dates: In Calgary: Foundation 1: March 11th. to 15th. 2016 Foundation 2: May 20th. to 25th. 2016 In Nelson: Foundation 1: April 23rd. to 27th. 2016 Foundation 2: June 25th. to 30th. 2016

I studied with Francine at Samadhi Thai Massage after returning from Thailand and studying 4 levels of Traditional Thai Massage there. My teacher and Francine teach under the same lineage, so the manuals were the same. To be registered as Thai massage therapist, this didn't matter. All learning was valuable toward hours. I truly appreciated Francine's classes because the class sizes were much smaller, and I received more one-on-one instruction. Also, Francine explained everything thoroughly and precisely, so I could understand the why of all that we learned. She also has so much reverence for the tradition and for the safest approach. I had already developed bad habits, and with her guidance, I gained awareness about how my weight, my touch, and my pressure felt to the recipient. Lastly, Francine opened my eyes to vastness of Thai healing nad massage. She's inspirational, knowledgeable, and thorough. And don't just study with her... get at least two massages. You'll feel great and learn more!
