Light The Stage

Description

We believe that each individual carries an inner bright light. We strive to embrace and nurture each unique light through guided educational opportunities and discovery based experiences which connect with, support and encourage creativity, imagination and play in a safe and inclusive learning space.
We offer private/group coaching, weekly classes, camps and workshops which develop skills in singing, acting and creative movement/dance. Light The Stage Community Arts & Education has created five pillars on which it stands. Our intentions are to utilize the performing arts as a means to: (1) offer character education based on family virtues. (2) facilitate programs which encourage deepened communication and attachment within the family dynamic. (3) create a community atmosphere free of discrimination or judgement by incorporation of inclusive education. (4) foster a learning environment which supports, explores and practices compassionate communication. (5) develop skills and personal strengths through participation in the creative process which may include rehearsals and performances. Our goals are: To facilitate an annual summer program for children, youth and teens. To facilitate regularly scheduled classes at a fixed studio space. To offer a performance group which provides live entertainment as an act of service within the community. To develop an outreach program connecting us with local families, schools and communities, locally, provincially and nationally. To develop a mobile school program that brings artists to classrooms.
