About 11 years ago, I went on a trip to Puerto Aventuras with my wife. We found a lovely house all built with reclaimed wood and 2 Mexican ladies working with tropical salsas. My wife's cousin was the owner of this place. We spoke to him about a great idea I had, which I never even thought would be a total treat in Canada and rest of the world.
My idea was to open a Mexican restaurant, TAPAS STYLE, with our own unique and personal touch. North of Mexico was created with deep thought of our Canadian food; since we have a lot of diversity. We do any kinds of meals from: fresh lobster oysters, ahi tuna, Chilean sea bass, black tiger shrimps, king crab legs, octopus, traditional tacos al pastor, barbacoa, carne asada air dried for 60 days with chimichurri, homemade chorizo, guacamole done in a lava rock, homemade churros, dulce de leche cheesecake and much more. Ceviche with lobsters, octopus, and shrimps, change on a daily basis. We have a large selection of tequilas, mezcal, and Mexican beers. Along with a lot of fresh tropical drinks (made in house). North of Mexico is happy to be open for business and working with the Great Highland Creek Community. Gluten free options available
