Description
The UNAM’s School (UNAM-Canada) is the agency that represents the National Autonomous University of Mexico in this country. It occupies its own building with twelve classrooms, a video-conference room, a library specialized on Mexican themes, a cafeteria, and a multipurpose room used as an auditorium and an art gallery. The main activities of the UNAM-Canada revolve around language courses: Spanish, French and English. Also included are courses on Mexican and Latin American culture. As for teaching, UNAM serves more than 800 students per year. Amongst its tasks is to be a liaison between Canadian universities and the different departments of UNAM promoting academic exchange and joint research projects. The school also hosts conferences, lectures, discussion panels, book presentations, art and photography exhibitions, concerts, theatre, dance presentations and film series. It also organizes literary evenings in its library.
