Description

Jamie's lifetime love of dance started at the young age of 3. Since then, she has studied at many studios throughout Southern Ontario, and worked with many talented instructors and choreographers. She is a certified teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and also teaches jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop. She continues to keep her qualifications up to date by participating in several teaching courses and workshops each year through the RAD.
Jamie also has experience in Musical Theatre. Along with teaching studio classes, Jamie has worked with the local CAST Theatre Company on productions such as Guys & Dolls and The Jungle Book. She was a part of two university dance teams, the UW Dance Pak and Waterloo Danceworks as co-captain. Jamie has also been involved in many theatre and dance productions including Job and the Snake, Guys & Dolls, Deeply Superficial, and Pekoe. Jamie opened DDC in 2007 and she loves every minute of running the business and working with students. Jamie can also be seen throughout the local community, working with the local elementary and high schools, senior centres, local festivals and more. Her students have successfully entered into exams with the Royal Academy of Dance and also competed throughout Ontario with excellent results.
