Hello, I’m Karen Shale, thanks for taking the time to visit my website. I’m a mortgage professional with Xeva Mortgage working from my office at Landmark 3 in beautiful Kelowna, B.C. Here is a bit about me so you can get to know me better. I have a background in sales, insurance, and financial planning. One of my first jobs was as a sales consultant for a major retail furniture chain where I had the distinction of being named salesperson of the year in electronics – the first female in Canada at the company to achieve that goal.
The skills I learned in those early years allowed me to transition very successfully into mortgage brokering over 10 years ago – a career that I am passionate about. Finding creative solutions and getting results is what drives my business. In 2015, I was named Top Associate for the B.C. interior which is a milestone I am very proud of and is a testament to the loyalty of my clients. My relationship with my clients really begins after their mortgage has funded – at that point, I am in contact with them on a regular basis and for me, giving mortgage advice long term is what I really love about what I do. Doing a single mortgage is great but becoming a part of someone’s long term financial strategy is really exciting! Having clients who come back to me again and again and who send me numerous referrals because they trust me is the greatest reward I could ever want. When I’m not busy doing mortgages, I have been involved as an actor in numerous productions with Kelowna Actors Studio, a creative outlet that I really enjoy. I also love kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and just about any other year-round activity that our amazing valley has to offer!
