What is Microblading?
Microblading is a method of creating semi permanent eyebrows and is a relatively new technique to the USA and Canada. Microblading is simply another form of cosmetic "tattooing". Also referred to as Micro-Stroking, Feathering, or Eyebrow Embroidery. It is a semi-permanent method, that is often confused with and compared to the traditional hair-stroke machine (tattoo) technique. Microblading is different from eyebrow tattoos in that a blade is used and not a tattoo machine (gun). Microblading is done using a very fine blade (made up of multiple tiny, fine needles) to deposit pigments into the epidermis. The pigment is deposited in the top skin layer, resulting in crisp, and fine strokes that mimic real hair.
This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance or correct the look of their eyebrows. The results are very natural looking and microblading can be done regardless of the amount of eyebrow hair present. People, who are suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss, years of over plucking/waxing or genetically deficient in eyebrow hair can benefit greatly from Microblading. This procedure is perfect for both men and women.
The pigments used in this method will be formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into the existing hairs.
The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.
After your perfecting appointment (touch up), the results can last anywhere from 6 months to 14 months, depending on different factors such as clients skin type, sun exposure, chemicals (contained in creams and beauty products) applied to the skin which could fade and break down the pigment sooner etc.
A Color Retouch once a year is recommended to retain the shape and freshen up the color.
