I would encourage anyone learning guitar to try out Scott Arnold’s, “Campfire Guitar Bootcamp”. Students learn a variety of songs (around 50) over a 5 month period with a group of other students in a relaxed, light-hearted and collegial setting – all for a very reasonable price. Scott provides a host of reference materials (along with the songs themselves) to aid students throughout the term. Students have the option of then moving on to more advanced classes or repeating the course itself or both - which many students like myself choose to do! I also found Scott’s individual lessons to be extremely valuable and another great option either as a supplement to the various programs or as a stand-alone course.
