Many dog daycares have a lot of staff, and fancy facilities that cost a fortune. Good for them. While there is nothing wrong with that approach, our philosophy at Pupalooza is a little different.
For starters, we don't have a ton of staff. We do it ourselves. If that means we take in fewer dogs, then so be it. This approach has a few benefits, not least of which is that we keep our costs (and therefore our prices!) in check. The main benefit, though, is that we know your dog. Personally. Who they get along with, and who they don't. How they like to play. Do they prefer to run or wrestle? Do they like to train? Because we take the time to learn this about each and every dog, we can tailor their day. And make sure they are good and tired for you when you pick them up! As for the facilities here, well, the dogs seem to love them. Fancy siding and expensive decor don't impress our canine friends. We put our resources where the dogs need them. Over an acre of outdoor space to let the runners really open up and fly. Or enough space for the quiet ones to lay in the shade. Lots of water, grass, and love. In the heat of the summer, we rotate the kids from outside to inside in order to keep them from overheating in the sweltering Okanagan sun. Dogs can't sweat, so we make sure they safe and cool.
