At Gingersnaps, I believe in the Reggio Emilia philosophy of child learning (Every child brings with them a deep curiosity and potential, this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place in it). Our children are young for such a short period of time, learning should be fun. Encouraging confidence and self-esteem through everyday skills is paramount to a child's development. Allowing children to lead play times encourages imagination and outside the box thinking that they don’t get from video games and electronics.
Stimulating the senses through kinetic and sensory play (ie. play dough, Galaxy goo, water beads) opens a new world for children. It enhances a child’s way of thinking, investigation and discovery. Children have a natural sense of wonder and curiosity. With a little encouragement we can nurture their creative process. I provide a clean and loving home environment for your child. We have healthy home cooked breakfast/lunch and 2 snacks then out to our large back yard for lots of outdoor activities. Our days consist of fun paints and crafts, reading books, music, free play and baking with older children. We go on daily walks and adventures to the playground just a block away and much more (weather permitting). I am very much a home away from home! I am a dog friendly home. Babe is amazing with children and people of all ages. I have immediate openings for ages 1-5. We are located in the Grandin area of St Albert just the Anthony Henday, off Ray Gibbon Drive.
