I am a certified counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. My goal is to help you, in a non-judgemental and supportive environment, have a clearer sense of the direction you want for your life. I assist individuals, couples and families to understand and explore issues associated with communication, blended/step-families, trauma (including sexual trauma in childhood and/or adulthood), post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety and/or anger. I have years of experience dealing with a range of issues including, divorce, marital and family conflict, demographic specific issues such as: refugees, immigrants, and women.
I understand everyone is unique and there is not an all encompassing therapeutic solution. I apply my vast experience and knowledge of different therapy approaches to meet your objectives. Upon request, I can integrate different spirituality orientations and ethnic backgrounds in my approach. I combine my Master's degree in Cognitive Science and Master's degree in Counselling to get a better understanding of individuals' cognition and emotional and psychological dimensions and needs. I provide services under the supervision of Augustine Meier, Ph.D, C. Psych and Shelley Briscoe-Dimock, Ph.D, RP, RMFT.. I have offices in downtown Ottawa and Manotick.
