Today, Reiki is practiced on all continents by peoples of all creeds and races, social status and religions; you too can experience this traditional, Japanese Art of Healing.
Open up that innate healing touch within you, your body's ability to heal itself, give it to yourself, your family, reach out to others and be a part of healing our beloved Planet Earth herself. A Reiki session may take approximately an hour and a half. The recipient lies on a massage table, fully clothed and covered. With a light laying on of the hands the Universal Life-Force is transmitted through the practitioner to the client through the palms and fingers. The practitioner is a channel or instrument who observes and apart from the intent and desire has no influence in the healing process. What transpires is between the receiver, their higher self and the Divine. While experiencing Reiki, my customers have the added experience of connecting to the healing energy of Mother Earth through a grounding sheet. This gives the benefit of negative ions which we get so few of today wearing man made soles on our shoes and exposure to EMFs etc. More on this at - www.earthingcanada.ca. It's like lying on the sand or grass for a while! I also use gem stones and organite, along with the healing sounds of specially cut tuning forks. To round off your gift to yourself; as you come back to present time and relax for a few moments longer, savouring your experience before returning to your day, I like to round off your session with a gentle foot massage with essential oils.
